The Small but Mighty Martini Table

Domestic rituals...a return to small moments of reverie and enjoyment.

Our Martini table mirrors the popular American cocktail; sleek, sophisticated and sexy. This statement piece from Carol Ashton Interiors bridges classic design by blending traditional elements with original modern art and clean, contemporary lines. Marrying art and function, beauty and task, our side table makes a striking statement.

Handcrafted in Palm Springs, our martini table conjures memories of a glamorous period of luxury and comfort when legend Frank Sinatra would run a flag up the two tall palm trees at his E. Stewart Williams designed mid-century home to signal neighbors it was cocktail or “tini time”.

Tucked between two chairs, it is their compact footprint that make them conducive to intimate conversations over a cocktail or “mocktail”. The defining characteristic of a Martini Table is its size. They should be under 18” inches and preferably smaller. They warm the look of a single chair, handling a book, remote, even a drink beside a bath.

Our handcrafted, polished acrylic table provides a visual space that highlights the original art that “floats” above the base. All our pieces are created with museum quality archival inks and are based on the art of New Media artist, Carol Ashton.

Each piece of furniture in the Carol Ashton Collection is made in limited edition and is signed and numbered on a fixed metal plate, guaranteeing the originality of the piece.

All works reflect the work of the artist, Carol Ashton, with each piece anchored in acrylic on canvas then further investigated with digital media. Carol draws on her experience as Digital Literacy Specialist with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to continue her exploration with digital technologies as a relevant and robust means of expressing beauty in the digital age.
